Equip Greenhouse™ might be for you if…

  • You want to keep developing — but time, budget, and space for formal programmes are always competing

  • You have real questions about your work and would love to think them through with an expert and others who can relate

  • You learn better in conversation and practice, not just by reading or watching videos alone

  • You’ve done a workshop or course before and thought: ‘I wish I had ongoing support to actually apply this.’

  • You’re looking for a learning community that goes deeper than a LinkedIn group — and lasts longer than a workshop

Not just a course.
A cultivated learning environment.

Think of a real greenhouse. It doesn’t force plants to grow — it creates the conditions where growth happens naturally. Nourishing environment. Required nutrients. Consistent care. Good structure. A community of different plants, all benefiting from the optimum conditions.

Our Equip Greenhouse™ works the same way.

We’ve created the structure, support, and systems where your professional capabilities can genuinely flourish — not just during a one-off workshop, but over time, in relationship, with practice.

This isn’t a content library you’ll forget. It’s a living learning environment, actively tended by humans who care :-).

The Greenhouse is for people in any organisation. Whether you’re a previous Equip client, someone who’s heard about us, or simply someone looking for a collaborative learning community, you’re welcome here.

How we create conditions for growth

Every learning experience in our Equip Greenhouse™ is built on our four-pillar approach.

Facilitator Guidance

Real, experienced facilitators who guide your journey, answer questions, and help you apply what you're learning.

Peer Learning

Live workshops, weekly Q&A sessions and practice opportunities with fellow learners — because learning is fundamentally human.

Self-Directed Learning

Short, focused online foundational modules and our Knowledge Base — access what you need, when you need it.

Workplace Application

Learning is only valuable when it changes how you work. We support you to apply what you're learning back at work — and to share your growth with those around you.

Why this works:

  • It’s manageable – it fits around your work and personal life

  • It’s practical – every skill can be applied immediately

  • It’s social – learning with others creates accountability and connection

  • It builds – we build on foundational skills to develop more complex skills

  • And it sticks – learning over time with support creates lasting capability

Maximise your precious training and development budget

What does $2,000 actually buy you?

One two-day course in New Zealand typically costs $1,500–$2,500 per person. You learn a lot in two days — but then you go back to work, and the support stops.  And often, so does the application of what was covered in the course.

An annual Greenhouse membership costs similar. Here’s what you get instead:

Questions people ask us

No worries — all facilitator-led courses are recorded and available to members who are enrolled in that course. You can watch back at a time that suits you.. We would always encourage you to attend live when you can (the conversation is richer and you get to ask your own questions in real time), but life happens and we have got you covered with the recordings and weekly Q&A opportunity.

Yes. Each month you choose one facilitator-led course from our current schedule, as long as there is still space available. If it is full you can join the waitlist to see if a space comes available. You can also request a specific course to be scheduled — we track member requests and aim to run the most needed courses as quickly as possible. If you have requested a specific course, we will notify you as soon as it is scheduled so you can enrol.

There are also a range of self-directed courses and useful resources available in our Knowledge Base which you can work through at any time.  The weekly Q&A sessions are where you can explore any questions you have about applying these techniques.

If you are interested in a facilitoator-led course but cannot attend, enrol in the course and you will receive access to the recording to catchup.  Again the weekly Q&A sessions are where you can explore any questions you have about applying the techniques covered in the workshop.

It comes down to the nature of the skill itself — and the way humans learn.

Some skills are foundational. They have a relatively clear right answer, a defined process, or a body of knowledge you can absorb and apply fairly independently. Understanding a definition or concept, applying a technique to calm yourself, using a method to prioritise work — these lend themselves well to self-directed learning. You can go at your own pace, revisit what you need, and build your understanding when it suits you.

Complex skills are different. Things like giving effective feedback, having a difficult conversation, making sound decisions under pressure, or leading a team through change — these don’t have a single right answer. They require you to combine multiple foundational skills at once, read the room, respond to what’s in front of you, and make judgement calls that depend entirely on context. You can’t just read about them and be ready. You need guided practice, feedback, and the chance to work through real scenarios with others.

We use a crawl, walk, run approach to competency development. Self-directed learning in the Knowledge Base helps you crawl — building the foundational understanding you need. Facilitator-led courses then help you walk and run — bringing those foundations together, practising in real situations, getting expert guidance on applying what you’re learning in your specific context.

A facilitator also does something a resource simply can’t: they notice what you’re missing, ask the question that shifts your thinking, and help you make sense of why something isn’t working the way you expected. That human element matters most precisely when the skill is complex.

So the short answer: self-directed for building foundations, facilitator-led for developing the complex, contextual capabilities that actually change how you work.

Not at all. The Greenhouse is designed to support different learning styles and schedules. Choose one course each month, dip into the Knowledge Base when it is useful, and join Q&A sessions when you have questions. There is no pressure to be everywhere — but we do find that the more you engage, the more you get out of it. That is not pressure — just genuine experience speaking.

You can join on a monthly or annual basis — see the pricing section above. Monthly membership rolls over automatically and can be cancelled with 30 days’ notice. Annual memberships provide access for the full year; we do not offer refunds after the 30-day guarantee period, but your access continues until the end of your membership period.

We understand that work and life get busy. If you need to pause, get in touch and we will work something out. We would rather find a way to support you than lose you from the community.

If you are looking to develop multiple team members, we do offer volume pricing options. We would love to talk about an organisational membership or connecting the Greenhouse with one of our Fulfilling Role Programmes. Get in touch and we can design something that fits you and your team best.
